AMD Threadripper Pro has 64 cores, 128 PCIe lanes and 8-channel memory support

AMD Threadripper Professional CPUs are coming to take down Intel’s Xeon workstation chips, providing as much as 64 cores, 128 threads, 128 lanes of PCIe Gen four, and as much as 2TB of RAM.

The corporate introduced 4 Threadripper Professional chips:

  • Ryzen Threadripper Professional 3995WX with 64 cores, 128 threads, and a base clock of two.7GHz and spice up clock of four.2GHz
  • Ryzen Threadripper Professional 3975WX with 32 cores, 64 threads, and a base clock of three.5GHz and spice up clock of four.2GHz
  • Ryzen Threadripper Professional 3955XWX with 16 cores, 32 threads, and a base clock of three.9GHz and spice up clock of four.3GHz
  • Ryzen Threadripper Professional 3945WX with 12 cores, 24 threads, and a base clock of 4GHz and spice up clock of four.3GHz.

All 4 chips characteristic the similar ludicrous quantity of 128 PCIe four.zero lanes, rated 280-Watt TDP, and the facility to run as much as 2TB of RAM in Eight-channel mode supporting unbuffered DIMMS, registered DIMMS, and Load Lowered DIMMs.
