A 90-year-old lighthouse perched on a lush cape in northern Spain is on the centre of a cultural row after a blinding paint activity via a neighborhood artist left the tower outshining its lamp – and a few critics blanching.

For nearly a century, the lighthouse, close to the Cantabrian the town of Ajo, used to be a mute, monochrome sentry beaming its gentle out over the Atlantic.
