The “Roseanne” cast “kept on truckin’ ” after the departure of star Roseanne Barr, but it isn’t the same for John Goodman.

“It was really odd,” Goodman, who plays Barr’s TV husband Dan, told Seth Meyers on Thursday. “We used to have a lot of fun on the show, and I really missed her this year.”

“Roseanne” originally ran from 1988 to 1997 and was rebooted in 2017. ABC cancelled the show the following year after Barr posted a racist tweet. The series was revived as “The Conners” shortly thereafter.

“I regret the circumstances that have caused me to be removed from ‘Roseanne,’ Barr said in a statement after ABC announced “The Conners” would move forward without her. “I agreed to the settlement in order that 200 jobs of beloved cast and crew could be saved, and I wish the best for everyone involved.”

“She gave up a lot so that we could do the show,” Goodman said. “She gave up all her rights to it so we didn’t have to call ourselves the ‘Monners’ or the ‘Chonners’ and invent new characters. But yeah, she will always be missed.”

The first episode of “The Conners” revealed that Roseanne Conner had died from an opioid overdose. Goodman said he was surprised at the way Barr’s character was killed off.

“That’s pretty permanent,” he said. “I mean, when I died on the show they just brought me back.

“They’re not going to remember, nobody was watching toward the end,” he joked of his own death at the end of the show’s original run.
