Police confront asylum seekers protesting at Kent barracks – video

Police in Kent had been accused of ‘suppressing protest’ after following and recording two asylum seekers protesting outdoor the Napier barracks close to Folkestone, which is getting used as transient lodging.

Loads of asylum seekers are reportedly on starvation strike on the former military barracks, in protest at lack of awareness on their asylum claims, the affect of crowding on their possibility of catching Covid-19, and deficient hygiene, volunteers stated.

Netpol – the Community for Police Tracking – posted the clip on Twitter, claiming that the protesters were threatened with fines. Kent police didn’t straight away respond to our request for remark in regards to the video
