The boy from Ballarat used to be an archbishop and a strong pressure on the Vatican sooner than he used to be convicted of surprising crimes. After 400 days in jail his convictions have been overturned

1941 George Pell is born within the Victorian the city of Ballarat to an Irish Catholic mom and a non-practising Anglican father. He’s trained at Loreto Convent and St Patrick’s School in Ballarat.

1960 Pell starts finding out for the priesthood at Corpus Christi School in Werribee.
